Test Review

Menu Bar- at the very top of the screen.

 It has File, Edit, Image, Layer,Select, Filter,View,Window, and Help.
Options Bar- right under neath  the menu bar
 All the icons on the options bar depend on which tool you are on.
Tool Bar- on the left hand side of the screen
 The tool bar has all the tools you need to do what ever you are doing on photoshop.
Layers Palette- on the right hand side of the screen 
 This shows all your layers and any thing that you would like to do on that layer or if you want to add a layer or even delete a layer.

Gel Type Tutorial


Step 1- Choose your font, size and color.

Step 2- Type your word

Step 3- Make a new layer

Step 4- In your layers palette, Apple+Click your type layer to put the marching ants' around the text.

Step 5- Go around the select menu, under modify, and choose contract. When the contract dialog appears, enter 2 pixels, and click ok, then press option+delete to fill your contracted selection.

Step 6- Deselect by pressing apple+D. Duplicate this layer by dragging it to the new layer icon. Go under the filter menu, under Blur and choose Gussian Blur. When the dialog box appears, enter 3 pixels, and click ok.

Step 7- Choose bevel and emboss from the layers styles pop-up menu at the bottom of the layers palette.
->Style=Emboss
->Depth=300
->Size=12
->Highlight Opacity= 100%
->Shadow Mode=Color Dodge
->Shadow Mode Opacity=40%
->Black Color Switch=White (click ok)

Step 8= In the layers palette click on the eye icon beside the back round layer to hide it. Then choose merge visible from the palettes drop down menu. Choose drop shadow from thestyeles menu and click ok. Click on back round layer to cover it.

Ec 1 Matrix



Step#1- Press "D" on your Keyboard to set the background swatch with black. Press the letter "X" to swap swatches. Hold down apple key. and press delete. 
Step#2- Type your text. Hold down the control key and click on the text layer. Choose Rasterize.
Step#3-  Make a duplicate of your rasterize layer. Go under the filter layer and click blur. Choose motion blur. When the dialog box appears set the angle to 0, and increase the distance of blur to 39 pixels. click ok. 
Step#4- Make a duplicate of your original rasterize layer. Go under the filter menu, under blur, and choose motion blur. When the dialog appears, set the angle to 90, and the distance of blur to 80 pixels. Click ok.

Photoshop Tools

1. Marquee Tool: Rectangular, elliptical, single column, and single row are all marquees 

They are used to put a selection or marching ants around an image.

2. Move Tool: used to move a layer you can use the mouse or the arrow keys to move layers
 This tool is a black small mouse
3. Gradient Tool: used to create gradients. A gradient is a smooth transition from one color to another.
   This tool is that looks like a transition from one color to another
4. Paint Bucket Tool: This tool enables you to paint large areas at once 
     This tool looks just like paint bucket 
5. Horizontal Type Tool: This tool is used to put text into an image. 
   this tool is a upper case T
6. Vertical Type Tool: This tool is used to put text into an image. It will write vertical.
This tool looks a upper case T with an arrow going vertical next to it.
7. Custom Shape Tool: With this tool you can create a custom shape in your image. You can choose from standard or imported shapes.
This tool looks like a blob of paint splattered
8. Hand Tool: This tool allows you to move your canvas/stage around
   This tool looks like a hand 
9. Zoom Tool: This tool is used to zoom in and out of your image
 This tool looks like a small magnify glass
10. Eyedropper Tool: with this tool you can set your foreground color. In your image, click on the color you want to have.
  This tool looks like an eyedropper.

Digital Versatile Disc. There are 6 DVD formats.

A bit has a single binary value, either 0 or 1
  How many nibbles are in a byte?
Half a byte (four bits) is called a nibble.

We call this the internet and 304 million people have this today.

4. SSL ( secure socket layers)- a protocol that authenticates encrypted communication between clients and servers, and allows a user to confirm a server's identity
