Perspective Type Tutorial

Step 1: Choose your font, color and size.

Step 2:Type your word(s).

Step 3: Go under the layer menu, under type and choose convert to shape.

Step 4: Hold down the apple key on the keyboard and tap the letter "T" to transform the text.

Step5: Hold down the control key and click the mouse. Choose perspective. Grab one of the corner boxes and drag to
create the perspective effect.

Step 6: Under the layer menu, under rasterise choose shape.

Step 7: Duplicate your text layer. Change your foreground color. Hold down the option key and tap the delete key.

Step 8: Choose the middle layer and move it down to create a drop shadow effect.

CD/DVD Guidelines

Safety Margins: Text and important images must fall within the red boxes . Extending important elements beyond these lines can cause problems during cutting,folding and assembly. Parts of images or text can end up being trimmed off or fall directly on a fold.

Cut Lines : This is approximately where your artwork will be trimmed. Keeping all text and important images inside the 1/8th inch safety margins will prevent unintended loss during cutting.


Bleeds: This are is going to be completely trimmed away during the cutting process. Only solid colors , background images or foreground images that intentionally run off the page should extend though this area . Having bleeds ensures that your artwork will not have a thin white border around it.


Folds: Be very careful when running any text or important image over folds. Text especially text under 9 pts. can be hard to read if it is falling on a fold.

Free Write: What if...

What if...
My last school was still here and I still went there. I think that my friends and I would still talk all the time, and we wouldn't be so split up. I would probably be in the Social Studies advisory class, just like I am here at New Media. At my old school which was, Ivy Leaf Middle School, I think it would be a lot of teachers who are only going on their second year of teaching at my old school. I also believe that things wouldn't have been so crazy this year like it was last year because, of the changes we going through. I would also have loved it if my old principal had came back along with the vice principal. They were very nice to me all the time. I guess it probably was because,I never really got into trouble with any of my teachers. I really miss my school, teachers, and my friends. But I actually think that it worked out for the best for me because if my school didn't close I wouldn't have met so many new teachers, and friends.



Focus: I would give myself a 3 on the focus.
Content: I would give myself a 2 on the content.
Organization: i would give myself a 4 on organization.
Style: i would give myself a 4 on style.
Conventions: I would give myself a 3 on conventions.

 My family is pretty much I would call big. My family and I have a great relationship with each other. We share a lot of  good time times together, and of corse you always have those days when things don't go so well. I love my family very dearly and I am sure that they love me just as much as I love them.

My grand-mom  is a wonderful person(my moms mom). I love her a lot. I do a lot of things with her. My grand-mom I would say pretty much spoils me. She buys things whenever she can if I ask her for it. She has 6 children and 1 of them being my mother, 4 girls, and 2 boys. My grand-mom is a very strong person and is always helping someone in the family. My grand-mom loves to clean. I love my grand-mom and I always will. 

I have 1 brother,and 1 sister. My brother is older than me and my sister is younger. My sister, brother, and I have a good relationship, even though my sister and me argue sometimes.

My mom and dad have been married for 13 years and it will be 14 September 18. My mother and father have a great relationship with each other and share mostly everything with each other. 

Focus: I would give myself a 4 because I did pretty much explain my family.

Content: I would give myself a 3 on this one because, I don't think I actually created a vivid mind move.

Free Write: Friendship!

Friendship to me means that you have that pacific person   that you can always count on to talk to or bring up when our down. When you have this person you know for sure that they will always be there for you no matter what it is. Also this person you have is not only there for you but you are also there for them. Just as they are always there to bring you up and help you, you are there for them. My friendship I have is with a lot of people. I don't have just one person to lean on, but more than one.  More than one person that I can confine in. More than one person I can tell everything no matter what it is. just as I know that they will always be there for me they know I will always be there for them.

 My name is Tiyonna Wright and I have a little sister named Talia Wright. I love very much however, we do argue, fuss, and fight a lot. I would like to change the relationship my sister and I have with each other. Sometimes we have great times and can go through a day without even arguing . When we do most of the time I know and she does to that it gets on my parents nerves. I try my best to ignore the things she says or the things she does that really gets on my nerves. I'm not saying that just a innocent angle I do things that may get her nerves also. 

My sister is only 5 years old and I am the older one so, my mom and dad expect more from me in all aspects. I love my little sister a lot and She really loves me. So at the end of the day we both know that we do anything for each  other. I will try even harder to not get on my sisters nerves and be the bigger person in most situation.      

Halftone "Pop Dots" Tutorial

Step 1: Open your image put a selection around the image that you would like to put the pop dots effect behind.

Step 2: Press apple+j twice put a selection around the layer 2.

Step 3:  Go under the select menu under modify and choose expand enter 10 pixels and okay. 

Step 4:  Press 'd" to switch your swatch to the default color options+ delete 

Step 5: Press the letter "q" to enter quick. Mass mode go under the filter menu under pixelate  and choose color half tone click okay.

Step 6: Keep running your filter until you are satisfied with the results tap the letter "q" to leave quick mass mode.

Step 7: Options + delete. Deselect your image.
